My Abby vets experience today Today I went to pick up Rupert’s ashes from Abby’s Vets, and I’ve come away feeling completely heartbroken — not just because I’ve lost my boy, but because of how I was treated. I explained at the desk why I was there, gave my surname… and the only response I got was being asked for the payment. No “I’m sorry for your loss”, no compassion, no kindness — just the card machine being pulled out. When I said I was paying in cash, I was looked at in disgust because it meant counting the money. Once it was counted, she simply said, “I’ll go get him.” She handed me the box, and when I asked about Rupert’s paw prints (because I didn’t realise they were inside), I was bluntly told, “They’re in the box,” before she walked away. No comfort. No empathy. No respect for someone grieving their pet. Losing Rupert has been devastating enough — but being treated like an inconvenience at such a sensitive moment was truly heartbreaking. People working with bereaved pet owners should have compassion. Today, that was completely missing 💔

Great service and nice people

First time using Abbey Veterinary Centre (as new to the area). The staff were lovely and helpful and took great care with our kitten . Not sure how Poppy (kitten) rates them as she hasn't said, however she seems happy - apart from the radical hair cut (where she was shaved) lol

Got a Quick appointment the vet was great talked us through the process & diagnosis felt very reassured.

Looked after my dauchound really well after a spine operation.

Took my nearly 3 year old frenchie here 2 days ago, got told she needed to stay in for treatment and I told them I can’t pay all upfront and they wouldn’t do a payment plan and ended up giving antibiotics to administer at home, she sadly passed away last night.

My Rory got spayed on the 12 march, 3 days in and we had a quick check up, all going the right direction :) Rory, happy as larry after her op, probably because of all the drugs she was on 😂😂 ... only messing, abbey vets looked after my girl and shes very wary with people x Edit: After Rorys last check up after spaying, we got the all clear, vet was very happy with how she healed. You barely see the scar now. Thankyou for looking after my girl ❤️ xx

I can’t recommend this vets enough the staff are absolutely lovely and helped my pup get back on his feet after he broke his paw at 4 months the love they gave him and myself every time he had to go (which was a lot) was amazing and now my puppy adores going to the vets thanks to these amazing guys.

What a lovely team of vets, nurses and reception people. Thank you for looking after Alfie (dachshund with spinal surgery) and myself. I would recommend your team to all who have dogs with disc/spinal issues.
