Very disappointed with how my flea treatment purchase and refund have been handled by Rase Vets Boston. Around three weeks ago I went to the practice asking for flea treatment for my 3 cats. I was sold THREE boxes, each containing 3 pipettes – effectively a 3-month supply for all three cats. After using the first month's treatment, I found it wasn't working. About a week later I returned TWO completely unopened boxes. I was told I would receive approximately £109 back. I have now been told something completely different. Apparently around £70 cannot be refunded because the medication had left the practice – but they are happy to keep that £70 as CREDIT on my account for me to spend with them in the future. I have not agreed to this. What concerns me most is this: if medication cannot be refunded once it leaves the practice, why was I sold an expensive 3-month supply for three cats in the first place instead of being offered one month initially to see whether the treatment was suitable and effective? I certainly don't recall being warned when I purchased it that unused medication could not be refunded once I took it home. I also don't understand why I was initially told I would receive approximately £109 back after returning the unopened boxes, only for that position to later change. I have now made a formal complaint and requested a full written explanation and refund of the remaining £70. I am sharing my experience so other pet owners know to ASK BEFORE BUYING MULTIPLE MONTHS OF MEDICATION: if it doesn't suit your pet or doesn't work as expected, ask what happens to the unused medication and whether you will be able to get your money back.

Their ‘qualified’ vets ain’t very qualified as I took my 4 month old kitten in who was clearly not well and all they said was worms and 2 days later I had to rush him to a vet on the weekend and they had to be pts. This hasn’t been the first time they have just told me worms when it wasn’t. As I run with a rescue and worm weekly. The pic is the kitten I had pts.

I recently switched to this practice after a poor experience elsewhere, and the difference has been night and day. The team are friendly, reassuring, and communicate clearly throughout appointments, which has been especially helpful as a pet owner. The practice is very clean, well organised, and I felt listened to and supported. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the care and service so far and would happily recommend this vet practice.

Taken my dog to this vet because he eaten something he shouldn’t and they charges me £240 to make him sick . I had no invoice and being an OAP I was left in shock. My advice is always ask for a price before you see these vets and also ask for a invoice.

Excellent vets who got a discharge sample out of poor Berties ear, analysed and were then able to use a targeted antibiotic thatvhas cleared the infection. It may well come back but was so effective Bertie 'asks' for it daily before breakfast. Not a mention of ludicrously expensive operations nor euthenising the cheerful mutt! He has no idea it's an ongoing problem, being a dog he lives in the moment and looks to us, his owners (or does he own us?) to fix all and feed him so he'll be with us for a long time yet :-)
