I have found all of the vets and veterinary nurses at the practice to be very friendly, helpful and professional, and I have always appreciated the care they provide. Unfortunately, my experience with the receptionist, Elaine, has been very different. I have found her manner and tone to be quite rude and unwelcoming. When a member of staff does not immediately understand a customer’s enquiry, the customer should not be made to feel embarrassed, ashamed or as though they need to become defensive simply because of the way they are spoken to. Good customer service is particularly important in a veterinary practice, where people may already be worried or emotional about their pets. A little patience, understanding and kindness in those interactions can make a significant difference. It is disappointing because my experiences with the veterinary and nursing staff have otherwise been extremely positive. However i left there yesterday feeling so disappointed, its a shame how a receptionist can change my view on the whole clinic but ultimately first impressions are very important.

Stamford Vets consistently deliver an excellent level of care and service. The team genuinely care about their patients and always go above and beyond to ensure animals are treated kindly, compassionately, and professionally. I have a very nervous dog who can be particularly challenging to treat, yet the staff are always patient, understanding, and gentle, helping to make what could be a stressful experience much easier for both my dog and me. I would highly recommend Stamford Vets to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.

A brilliant experience, made our cat feel safe and happy for her vacations. We usually have quite a spicy kitten when it comes to her visiting the vets but the speed and kindness of the staff and vet made her feel much happier and calmer on a visit to a vets than I've ever known from her before. Great practice - easy to contact, happy to help staff and great all round.
