#3 Vet in Bourne, Lincolnshire
Priory Veterinary Practice Bourne Ltd describes itself as a small, independently owned practice (with two sites). Based on the latest reviews available to us, it seems set up for everyday medical care and urgent same-day problems, with multiple owners mentioning being fitted in despite a full diary, clear explanations of options, and a willingness to work within a budget (including instalment payments in one case).

After using a vets in Peterborough before, I am so pleased we moved to Priory Vets. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the cost is far less than our previous vets. Would highly recommend, and thank you for your great service.

I foster kittens, recently had two who had been poorly. The vets ive seen at the practice have been top notch in getting to the bottom of their issues. Both are now very healthy.

First visit to the practice today, the staff were friendly and efficient and the vet was great with my very reactive dog! I am also very pleased with the reasonable pricing- my dogs medication was half the price I was charged at my previous vets. Would 100% recommend.

Having used Alder Vets and Animates, I can safely say Priory Vets are far superior in every single way. For example, we just took our dog in because was acting strange, licking his paws etc. after a walk up the woods. They said to pop in, even though they were fully booked and managed to see him between appointments, gave him a thorough check over, took their time and provided him with a steroid injection with the assumption he had an allergic reaction due to his leg being slightly swollen and red. Cost us £11. The vets are so calm, they don’t confuse anything, make you worry, all he said after the injection was ‘all fixed’ and smiled. Told us to let us know if were concerned about anything else and wished us a good evening. Contrast to animates and it would have gone like this. “Well, it could be this in which case if we don’t treat it now he might die, and this option is £700, but then it could easily just be this and with this cream, which costs £60, might work or it could be this in which case he needs to stay in over night for observation which will cost £350.” And then they make you choose, even though you’re not an expert or a vet for that matter, almost guilt tripping you into the most expensive option because if you don’t choose that one then do you really even love your dog? I know I’m exaggerating, but I can tell you with certainty that trip would have cost over £100 with animates. Save yourself the money, the stress and the hassle and just switch to Priory, you’ll thank me later👍🏻

Very sadly 😥 I had to say goodbye to my dear companion of 10 years . But the staff at Priory couldn't have been kinder or more caring . Highly praised care at such a sad time.

We cannot fault Priory Vets, (Bourne). Our cat was suddenly taken ill & was clearly in need of veterinary intervention. The Receptionist was so kind & understanding &, without hesitation, told us to come to the surgery immediately. On arrival, the kindness continued & the vet, Tom, was brilliant calmly & sensitively explaining everything to us & the options we could consider. He was lovely with our cat too! Following treatment, the Practice was happy to allow us to pay the Bill in two instalments, as we couldn't pay the full amount in one go. A wonderful Veterinary Practice & everyone involved was totally professional whilst remaining empathetic & caring. Thank you.

I seriously wouldn't go anywhere else. They keep your pet alive as long as humanely possible.. 2 times I thought my dog was ready to be pts & Vicki would gently say why don't we just try upping her steroids? Or let's try another course of antibiotics! They know I'm not insured as have elderly dogs! They understand I'm on minimum wage, but they have never pushed treatments on me that I can't afford. For this empathy & compassion from the front desk receptionists who cried with me when my old girl Gracie was pts..I will be forever grateful! They are not just vets they are compassionate humans trying to make ours & our animals lives better. They understand if you can't pay a large bill in one go.. they trust us as pet owners.. I trust them as vets. Priory are the best. Thank you all. RACH
