The vets are very good but the admin leaves much to be desired having failed repeatedly to process an insurance claim

Best vets in LIncolnshire - been with them for nearly 50 every time we have lived locally we come back with all our dogs (durung working years often posted in other parts of the country). Superb reception, nursing and vetinary teams during all that time.

My dog is registered here and yesterday I unfortunately had to take my parrot in as he clearly wasn’t well. We managed to get an appointment with one of the avian vets and he was outstanding. My parrot was slightly sedated and had an X-ray and bloods taken within twenty minutes of us being there. The vet’s expertise and knowledge was just superb. I didn’t get the gentleman’s name but he was one of the best vets I have ever seen. Kind, compassionate and clearly concerned about my African Grey. We are currently waiting for the results but after a cocktail of antibiotics my parrot already seems a lot better already. Fingers crossed for a good outcome. I just wanted to post to let everyone know how wonderful James Street Vets are. We are new to the area and are very, very pleased. Thank you!☺️

It took me ages to decide upon a Veterinary practice, when relocating from South Yorkshire to rural Lincolnshire with my three cats and my little flock of hens. In all fairness, there are lots of practices to choose from, many with great Google reviews, so how can one be assured to have made the right choice? Price is often the deciding factor. However, hindsight can be wonderful thing: I’ve learned the hard way that being cheap at the start often leads to paying more down the line. Ultimately, if you truly love your pets, investing in a good vet is just as essential as finding a good paediatrician. I am so glad I went with the James Street Vets in Louth. They’re a good 30-minute drive from where I live, and I don’t have a car, nor a propensity to throw money at taxis. Nevertheless, they are simply worth it. They genuinely are that good. From the Reception team, who always take your call, email you in a timely manner, and ring you back if they’d so promised (no matter how crazy busy their days may be), to the Vets themselves, who amass an abundance of knowledge, skill, experience, and care. I know, I know, this is starting to sound like a paid advert or something. But it truly isn’t. They’ve never even hinted at my leaving a review, nor do they know that I’m writing this one. If my heartfelt gratitude can be ‘targeted’ at someone in particular, that would be Dr Chilita Lau. Her extensive experience with exotic pets has saved my little flock of hens from Necrotic Enteritis this autumn, and I’m now fortunate to have received an accurate diagnosis and proper treatment for Mycoplasma. Most people, who may own more ‘traditional’ pets, will never know the struggle to finding a good Vet experienced with chickens. When urgency hits, and your hen is ill, it’s like the whole world is collapsing around you. I feel so immensely fortunate to have found a caring, empathetic human being in Dr Lau, who has been going above and beyond to help me and my feathered babies. I honestly have no intention of ever swapping to another Vet practice!

I wasn't registered, and booked an appointment as my dog had an injury. I booked an an appointment half an hour after I have noticed the injury. The process was quick and easy. And they were very friendly. Would definitely recommend

The receptionist raised her voice at a 12 year old on more than one occasion. He was devastated by the experience and the lack of care for his cat.

After a negative experience with another local vet, I transferred to James Street with my cat Finally, I got a diagnosis and although it wasn’t the one I’d hoped for, the vets explained everything that was wrong and were extremely sympathetic I had to make the decision to say goodbye to my lovely boy at only 7 years old. Thank you JamesStreet, for your excellent service and compassion

This vets is amazing with the most amazing people I have ever come across!! My 16 year old cat was really poorly and because of her age I genuinely thought I wasn't going to come home with her😪watching my son say goodbye to her as I left for the vets broke me💔 when I got there every single member of staff was beyond supportive and treat me and my cat poppy with empathy, dignity and care❤️it turns out she had pyometra which is very serious. She has had her surgery and is doing amazing, they are very upfront with costs and do everything to keep the pricing as low as possible too ,I can't put a price on the joy of having her still with us. Thankyou to everyone at james street vets youve gave us more years with our beauty girl🐈⬛ can never Thankyou enough ❤️

Sending a huge thank you to the wonderful team at James Street Vets, in particular vet Molly, for all the care, attention, compassion, patience and professionalism given to our diabetic cat Freddie. He was extremely poorly this time last week and we were close to having to say goodbye. Along with the continued treatment given by the overnight team at East Lincolnshire Emergency Vets, Freddie is now back home, recovering well and starting to show his true character again. We can't thank you enough 🐱🧡
